Grip Dispatch operates a mobile mechanic dispatch service. Customers contact us first, by phone or SMS, to request mobile mechanic service. Our admin team confirms with each customer, on a per-job basis, whether they would like to receive job-related communication by phone call or SMS text message.
If a customer opts in to SMS for a specific job, we use text messaging solely to coordinate, negotiate, and complete that job — for example, confirming appointment times, sharing service location details, and providing job status updates. This program does not send marketing, promotional, or proactive outreach messages.
Consent to receive SMS messages is obtained verbally or via text at the time a customer initiates a service request, and applies only to that specific job or contract. Consent is not blanket or ongoing; it is renewed each time a customer initiates a new request, whether by contacting us directly or through our mobile app.
Phone numbers used for this program are not obtained from any third-party list, purchased database, or shared source. All numbers are provided directly by the customer at the time of their inquiry.
Message frequency varies depending on the nature and duration of the service job. Customers should expect messages only in direct connection with an active or recently requested job.
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Grip Dispatch is not responsible for charges incurred from your wireless carrier.
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message thread, or by disabling SMS communications in your Grip Dispatch mobile app account settings. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us unless you initiate a new request and again select SMS as your preferred communication method for that request.
